The history

In the 19th century, Johan Chr. Wibe Stockfleth was the harbour master in Ebeltoft. He was the man behind the construction of the pier where Restaurant Stockfleth is now located.

As a local driving force, he understood that the town's prosperity depended on shipping traffic, and at his own expense – and with a little help from the church funds – he had the approx. 300-metre-long pier and the harbour built.
